Jennifer Moon
I have worked with public, private, and non-profit organizations for over 20 years as a program manager, communicator, and researcher and analyst.
- Program design, management, and improvement. As a grant/program manager for a non-profit community health center, I led a program serving HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C patients, and I was previously a Planning and Development Specialist with the City of Seattle Human Services Department.
- Communications: I have served as a Communications and Public Relations Specialist for a non-profit organization and as a public information officer for the Whatcom County Health Department.
- Research, Writing, and Analysis. As a Research Associate with a Seattle-based social services consulting firm, I conducted research and evaluation and provided technical assistance related to public health, HIV/AIDS housing, domestic violence, and healthy child and youth development. I am also a former Public Welfare Policy Analyst with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.
In addition, I have served professionally and as a volunteer with numerous boards, work groups, and advisory committees.
I have called the Pacific Northwest home since 1995. I am inspired daily by the beauty of the land, water, and people of this place. I enjoy hiking, traveling, reading, writing, and spending time with family.
I hold Ph.D. and Master’s degrees from the University of Virginia and a B.A. degree from the University of California Berkeley.
